Roofing in Cedar Park, from Buttercup Creek to Brushy Creek

Cedar Park took its name in 1887, grew around its railroad depot, and incorporated in 1973 with about 1,765 residents. The 2020 census counted 77,595, and most homes date from 2000 to 2015, so many original roofs are reaching replacement age. Premier serves Cedar Park from our San Antonio office.

Neighborhoods we serve

Anderson Mill West, mostly 1990s builds on smaller lots. Buttercup Creek, an early master-planned community with mature trees. The Ranch at Brushy Creek and Twin Creeks, Cypress Canyon in Hill Country terrain, and the newer Cedar Park Town Center.

Local weather and roof issues

On April 15, 2021, KXAN reported ping pong ball sized hail in Cedar Park and golf ball sized hail in nearby Leander and Pflugerville. Wind is a threat too: after storms on September 14, 2023, Cedar Park roofers described missing shingles and tarped roofs. An F3 tornado hit downtown on May 27, 1997.

Permits and HOA notes

Building Permits and Inspections sits in Cedar Park's Development Services Department at 450 Cypress Creek Road, phone 512-401-5100. The pages we reviewed did not state re-roof rules or fees, so call before work starts and ask whether your roof needs a permit. Residential permit documents are uploaded through MGO Connect.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. The free inspection includes a 37-point check and photo and video findings.

A repair and a full replacement are priced very differently, and roof size, pitch, materials and any damaged decking all change the number. After your free 37-point inspection you get a written price for your actual roof, not a ballpark. Ask for the photo and video findings so you can compare bids on equal terms.

Photograph any visible damage from the ground, keep any debris, and stay off the roof. Book a free inspection so a HAAG-certified inspector can document hail and wind damage with photos and video, then contact your insurer. Make temporary repairs to prevent more water damage and keep the receipts.

Every one to two years, and after any major hail or wind storm. Small problems like lifted flashing or exposed nails are cheap to fix early and expensive to ignore. Our free 37-point inspection checks the roof, flashing and ventilation and sends you photo and video findings.

In Texas, an insurer can't raise your premium or refuse to renew your policy solely because of a claim for damage from natural causes like hail or wind. Other kinds of claims, or a pattern of several claims, can affect your costs, and your policy terms matter. For your specific situation, check your policy and the Texas Department of Insurance at tdi.texas.gov.

Possibly. One local guide puts Cedar Park HOA dues between $30 and $150 a month, and many neighborhoods review exterior changes such as shingle color and style. Check your HOA guidelines before choosing materials, get approval in writing, and keep it with your contract. The same guide suggests roof inspections for homes built before 2005.
