Roofing in Helotes, Where the Hill Country Begins

Helotes sits at 1,037 feet where Helotes Creek leaves the Texas Hill Country, about 20 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio. It incorporated in 1981 and grew from 1,535 residents in 1990 to 9,030 in 2020. Premier serves Helotes from our San Antonio office.

Local weather and roof issues

On May 26, 2025, NOAA's Storm Prediction Center logged golf ball hail near Circle S Drive, about 2 miles east of Helotes, reported by a trained spotter. Live oaks across Helotes also drop limbs and leaves that scuff shingles. Impact-resistant Class 4 shingles may earn an insurance credit, but TDI notes each insurer sets its own.
