Roofing in Leon Valley, Along Bandera Road

Leon Valley grew from a farming community on Bandera Road into an independent city, incorporating in 1952 when residents petitioned to avoid annexation by San Antonio. It covers about 3.5 square miles in northwest Bexar County. Premier serves Leon Valley from our San Antonio office.

The city's center runs along Bandera Road (State Highway 16) and Loop 410, about 10 miles from downtown San Antonio and three miles from the Medical District. Leon and Huebner creeks run through the area. We did not find verified subdivision names.

Local weather and roof issues

KSAT reported that the largest hail in the April 1, 2024 storm fell on the Northwest Side near Leon Valley, with viewer photos ranging from pebble size to nearly golf ball. On April 25, 2016, KSAT also ran viewer pictures of baseball-size hail from Leon Valley and nearby areas. Hail that size can damage shingles, vents and flashing.

Leon Valley is a home rule city, and its permit reports list a Building - Roof Permit (Residential) type, so roofing is permitted work there.
